“It moves me.”
From a wealth of experience to a calling
“Creativity is at the heart of both my life and my work. I love trying new things, giving ideas a stage and looking behind the scenes to understand how things connect. At PDGR, I have the freedom to do that, and I learn something new every day.”
Learning, developing and discovering new potential are things Dagmar has always enjoyed. Her career followed no predetermined path but evolved naturally. “I never had a fixed career goal. But when I joined PDGR, I knew: this is right for me. I feel at home here.”
After training as a drugstore specialist, Dagmar explored a variety of roles. She led playgroups, worked as a nature educator, taught children’s art classes and undertook further training in art therapy and trauma therapy.
Dagmar has always pursued what inspired her and suited her life. “I’ve always followed my inner motivation, and looking back, everything came together beautifully,” she says.
Now, as an art therapist at PDGR, Dagmar supports patients with sensitivity, a reassuringly natural manner and an infectious zest for life.

Opening a door to the inner world
In her studio at PDGR, Dagmar helps patients become more aware of their inner world. “Painting, drawing, pottery and other creative activities make inner processes visible that are difficult to put into words. They create space for something new, unfamiliar, often unknown and sometimes unexpected,” she explains.
Dagmar’s goal is to give people a space where they feel safe to express themselves freely. Creative work also offers patients new perspectives. “Time and again, small windows or wide doorways open onto the inner world. These processes can be moving, surprising and painful all at once. As a therapist, I’m grateful for every expression of that inner world that becomes visible through creative work.”
And that is precisely what she values most about her work: “It moves me to see how people open up through creative activities.”
